  I attended a wedding here in August 2017 and the experience was amazing. The staff were extremely professional and friendly making all of the guests feel welcomed and special. The room for the civil ceremony was beautifully decorated and straight across from the Honeymoon suite meaning the bride had a very short trip. Food was excellent and plentiful, served in a relaxed way. The function room was lovely, decorated well and leading onto a very large balcony overlooking the grounds and river to the back of the hotel. On the day it was raining which was a pity as the grounds offer plenty of fantastic photo opportunities. But the Hotel entrance and foyer with its spectacular staircase still allowed for many photos to be taken. I would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding or indeed any other function. Hotel bar is also very nice with excellent food on offer. Bedrooms were well appointed and comfortable although some where a little far away but that was only a minor issue.

  The current management of this hotel is excellent. The Sunday carvery is well worth trying. The grounds are lovely also.
  I found the staff courteous and friendly .
